Red, 3-1/2" deep, 4" square junction boxes with flat vertical brackets and (5) 1/2" & (5) 1/2"-3/4" side knockouts and (2) 1/2" & (2) 3/4" bottom knockouts are installed in ceilings and walls where extra depth is needed for dimmers, cameras, speakers, strobes, signals and other electrical and electronic devices. Their vertical brackets are set back for 1/2”, 5/8”, 3/4” or 1” drywall. Additionally, they are painted red to easily distinguish them as fire alarm and life safety circuits. Garvin Industries’ labor saving design eliminates the need to awkwardly install boxes and extension rings to accommodate deep devices.
