2-1/8" deep, 4" square boxes with flat vertical brackets and (4) 1/2" & (5) 1/2"-3/4" side knockouts and open back with mounting tabs and 8-32 screws are used when 4” square boxes must be mounted directly to wood or metal studs. Dual access boxes allow covers or plaster rings to be mounted on either side of the box after device install. Square boxes are used to bring power to a number of electrical devices where multiple conductor runs are split in two or more directions.
